Our EzBackup line of drive to drive backup products is designed to automate regular backups and simplify the restore process. Whether you choose only the software or one of our hardware/software solutions, you'll find backing up has never been easier.
The initial backup procedure creates a mirror image of the source drive. Subsequent backups can be set up to backup only selected files or the entire drive. In either event, you always have an exact copy (as up to date as your last backup) of your hard drive. In the event of a disaster, you can quickly restore the entire drive or only selected files. In addition, because your backup drive contains your operating system and software programs as well as your data files, if you're pressed for time, you can use it to continue working until you have an opportunity to replace your failed drive. Because the EzBackup works in background, it's an ideal choice for a "virtual tape" device. Run regular backups every day or even every few hours. Then restore a single file or an entire drive whenever the need arises.
The EzBackup software comes bundled with our EzBackup hardware products. If you already have a backup drive, the EzBackup software will provide your own drive with the same functionality as our EzBackup hardware. Our EzBackup enclosures are designed to transform any 3.5 inch or 2.5 inch hard drive into an external USB backup drive.

We specialize in easy to use drive to drive backup:
- EzBackup easy backup software and hardware,
- EzRAID fool-proof RAID 1 disk mirroring hardware
- EzCopy one-button hard drive copier devices.
In case in you missed it, Ez is where our products all begin.
EzBackup is the easy drive to drive backup software.
EzBackup will run your backups automatically. Point and click to set it-- then forget it. You'll be able to instantly restore lost or damaged files when you need them. Or, if your drive fails or your system becomes corrupted, you'll be able to restore your entire drive--programs, preferences, everything -- in a single quick and easy operation.
EzRaid is RAID 1 drive mirroring made simple
Would a drive failure drive you crazy? Our IDE and SATA drive mirroring controllers will keep your system up and running right through a disk crash. Need up to the minute backup for your mission critical applications? Our unique selection of IDE RAID 1 and SATA RAID 1 disk mirroring devices guarantees you'll find the right size and shape to fit your needs. We've got models that mount in a drive bay, dual bay units with removable drive caddies and even a stick-it-anywhere unit or two for really tight spaces. Don't see what you need? Call us. We'll design something for you.
EzCopy is a push-button simple stand alone drive copier
Tired of tying up your computer when you need to duplicate a drive? What could be easier than a standalone drive duplicator? Duplicate an IDE or SATA drive. Copy an IDE drive to a SATA drive--or vice versa. Just pop in a drive, push a button, you're done. EzCopy devices work with both 2.5" and 3.5" drives and--best of all--they require no hook up to your computer.
Drive to Drive Copy Software
Migrate to a new drive easily and inexpensively.
How easily could you or your company recover from a fatal hard disk crash? Without an up-to-date backup, a hard drive failure could be a traumatic - or even catastrophic - experience. Whether what you lose is only those recent photos you haven’t had time to print out or the software applications and data files your business depends on to operate, the inconvenience is very real and, in many cases, can be very costly.
As the cost of hard drives has come down, drive size (storage capacity) has risen dramatically and the size and quantity of our data files and software applications have grown exponentially. Where does one store a copy of 40, 80 or even 100 GB of data? The simple answer is: on another hard drive. Data Protection Solutions by Arco specializes in designing products that simplify and automate hard disk backup and restore functions using a second hard drive as the backup media.
Of course, you can simply copy individual files from one drive to another through your operating system but manual backup can be a tedious and time consuming chore--and one we all too often tend to forget. Also, if your drive becomes damaged or fails completely, file backups are only part of what you will need to rebuild or replace it. What you want to have if you experience a drive failure is a drive to drive image backup that contains everything necessary to restore or recreate your drive, particularly if you need to restore a boot drive.
Both our EzBackup drive backup software (and our USB backup drives) as well as our EzRAID disk mirroring products perform disk to disk, or drive to drive, backup. Both will create an exact copy of your entire drive. However, they operate very differently.
The EzBackup software creates an initial image copy of your drive. Then it performs automatic file backups according to which files you have told it to backup and when you indicated backups should be run. Your drive and data backups are always as up to date as the time of your last backup (which you didn't have to remember to do.)
The EzRAID products are RAID 1 hardware devices that allow a second drive to operate invisibly alongside and in tandem with your existing drive. The EzRAID products create a complete copy of your drive, called a mirror. (RAID 1 is called disk mirroring.) Hardware mirroring is different from drive to drive backup (and even from software mirroring) in that it does not copy your data from one drive to another. Once the drives have been mirrored and are identical, every time you save data to your drive, the information is automatically sent from the computer to both drives concurrently. So you always have an exact and up-to-the-minute copy of your drive. If one drive fails, the second takes over automatically and your computer stays up and running.
Both the EzBackup and EzRAID products utilize drive to drive backup, or disk to disk, technology to ensure you'll always have a spare copy of your drive, including your operating system, your software applications and your data files. So, in the event of a disaster, you'll have everything you need to keep your computer running or to quickly and easily restore your drive and get your computer working again.
